mad at TGIF

The show Seinfeld: Elaine has eaten enough subs to get a free one, but gives a guy a fake number on that card by mistake.  The episode is how "hard" she worked to get that free sub and now it's gone.

Well, I've been waiting for a $15 off coupon from TGIF for a week now.  The coupons were $5, $7, then $10 off each time you visit by such & such date.  I was so excited to reach $15 off!!  So where's my coupon?  I called this morning.  Can you believe they had TWO expiration dates on there!  One of them was 11/30, on the side, next to the coupon. The other was actually ON the coupon and that's the one I saw.  As far as I'm concerned, that's where you put what you want folks to see!  I had from 11/26 to 11/30 to use the $10 off to get the $15 off my next visit, NOT til 12/5!  Seems deceitful to me.  Why not put the 11/30 on the actual coupon instead of in the writing next to it?

So I did get an almost free meal last week and it was good.  It's just that I was working so hard to get to the $15 off coupon.  I didn't even want to go last week, but I kept thinking it'll be worth getting out of my jammies to get $15 free food!  Then I don't even get it.

How pathetic that now I'm in quite a bad mood, pretty pissy quite honestly.  Not sure which frustrates me more!  Either way, I'm mad at TGIF. Whether it's wrong or not.

Happy EVERYTHING!

recently I won a Unibind Photobook Creator on Facebook.  Then a couple weeks ago Ken from Unibind came to a LSS near me, so of course I had to go meet him and hang out.  We had a great time up at Scrapbook Village and made an 8x8 Christmas book.  It is sooooo cute!

My thoughts were that I'd send it to my son who is stationed in Japan for the next 3 years.  As I was telling Ken about it and that this was his first Christmas away from home and his first birthday and Thanksgiving too, away from home.  I teared up.  I know my baby is about to be 21, but dang, it's very difficult him being so far away and not being here for the holidays.  I mean, we pretty much grew up together (being only 16, I still had lots of growing up to do!).

Anyway, Ken gave me some talking paper to use in the book to Dustin.  I had planned on buying some so I could send him a personal message in the book.  Well, I decided that book was too child-like to send to my almost 21 year old sailor, so I made him a book of his own.  I included Thanksgiving, Birthday, Christmas and New Year - thus, Happy Everything.  Here is a cell phone pic of the cover.

I love this old Basic Grey paper.  I tore the edges and painted with a lime green around the edges, then added the 2010.  Those letters I bought when I first started scrappin' in 2004!  They're Heidi Swapp and they are timeless I think.  I will post more pics later.  I was up til 4 this morning finishing this book and am so very tired now.  If anyone's out there, thanks for looking!

beautiful, restful, play day

WEDNESDAY

I have most Wednesday's off at my job.  Lately I've been keeping my precious great nephew, Coleman on Wednesdays.  He is such a good baby and I love him dearly.  Today though, I didn't keep him so I could hopefully get rid of the rest of this crud and rest....and play.

I have a LOT to do for the Christmas season. I'm almost finished with the book I've been working on for EVER it seems.  It's supposed to go tomorrow, but there's just no way, so it'll have to go Friday.

So I slept til almost 10, then jumped right into the pages of the book.  I like it so far, however, I'm getting stuck on the Letter pictures and enough space.  It'll happen though, I'm sure of it.  I believe all good things come from the Lord and this is good-'cause He gives me the ability and the ideas. :)  Just like a cook prays over & gives thanks for the food they cook and serve, I pray over the projects I do and thank God for the ability.
